To Everything There is a Season

Autumn in New Hampshire’s White Mountains

Though the calendar says it’s more than a month until winter, in many parts of the country the leaves are long gone and snow already covers the ground.

Even if there’s still foliage clinging to the trees where you live, autumn’s spectacular show is winding down.

It’s always a little sad to see it go – but because the lovely display is relatively brief, perhaps we appreciate it that much more.

To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under heaven…

Ecclesiastes 3:1
