“Flowers are the music of the ground…”
Whether you’re a fellow gardener, or you just enjoy taking in the sight of a well-tended flowerbed or a field of wildflowers, you’ll appreciate this analogy.
This is another image I made in Sugar Hill during this year’s lupine season. While this annual White Mountains display is a bit more subtle than the riotous autumn spectacle of color, I look forward to it with equal anticipation. Whether it’s fields dotted with literally thousands of spikes or a handful of plants at a residence or storefront, the lupines are seemingly everywhere – and they’re a lovely thing to behold.
