Life can sometimes serve up generous helpings of challenges, setbacks, and adversity.
Even though the head knows how important it is to keep the chin up and focus on the positive, the heart may still at times feel heavy.
Just as it seemed there was some “piling on” with a series of issues here at our house, I can across this beautiful Henri Matisse line about attitude.
“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.”
A side note regarding this location: what an excellent find it was! That season, I was experimenting with a new technique which enables the photographer to add interesting washes of abstract color to shots of flowers. Masses of flowers are required in order to achieve the desired result.
I was fortunate enough to find a large field of wildflowers just 10 minutes from my house.
I’d just finished a sunrise session and was looking around to see if there might be anything else of interest before I packed up and headed for home. This plant caught my eye; it was the only one of its kind in the entire field. It wasn’t in a spot that enabled me to employ the “color wash” effect to the fullest, but I liked it nonetheless.
