Fire Up the Oven…Let’s Bake Some Bread!

While home in Chicago visiting family recently, I sampled some tasty pumpkin bread from my sister’s kitchen. I brought the recipe back with me. If you enjoy baking, give this one a try!

Pumpkin Bread

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
2 tsps. ground ginger
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 sticks butter, softened
1 can (16 oz.) pure pumpkin

Mix eggs, sugars, butter then add pumpkin and all dry ingredients.  Pour into two 9” loaf pans (lightly greased) and bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 50 minutes.
