One of these things doesn’t belong…

That’s right…you’re seeing begonias and snow.

Here in Southern New Hampshire, we’ve yet to experience a killing frost, which means my begonias and their siblings in my gardens are still blooming away. Yet last night, an early snow began to fall. Never have I seen a sight like the one pictured above: annuals covered with a light blanket of snow!

There’s more in the forecast for tomorrow, with a Nor’easter on the way.

Unusual. It’s typically pretty mild here through November.

Many of the leaves are still on the trees, so I’ve yet to clean up my yard in preparation for winter. I’m hoping this is just a “blip” so I can get back on schedule!
