Here we go! Tomorrow the calendar turns to October. Are the leaves turning where you live? They have been slow to begin the show this year both in eastern Idaho and western Wyoming, so the anticipation continues to build…..
It arrived late last week….at least the calendar says so! In Grand Teton National Park, the snow showed up early (at elevation) but the leaves are taking their sweet time when it comes to putting on their annual autumnal “show.” Some of the hillsides are finally beginning to turn yellow; smaller shrubs are becoming colorful … Continued

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
On the “odd holidays and observances” list, I found an interesting one for September 13th: Uncle Sam Day. Who knew? It’s official, so designated by Congress in 1989 (you’d think they wouldn’t have time for this sort of thing…..).
