The landscape never looks exactly the same from one day to the next. Weather conditions differ; cloud cover and the type of clouds can be vastly different; the angle of light changes – even if only slightly; tides change; water can be still, choppy or somewhere in between – and so on. A scene is … Continued
This year, when spring has been so slow to come for so many of us, it’s hard to fathom the fact that the end of the school year is just around the corner! And that means Sunday School classes will be going into summer recess for many children before long, too. We’re busy filling orders … Continued
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning. I made this photo early this week. Having checked the following day’s tide situation as usual the night before, I knew it was going to be nearly peak high tide at daybreak – not my … Continued
Twice now in less than one week I’ve found myself behind cars with license plates bearing Scripture verses. Today’s was PSLM628. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Nice!
Whether or not a photographer will make a successful sunrise/sunset image is due in large part to clouds. No clouds, no color. Nearly every time I’m out at daybreak with the camera, this verse from Ecclesiastes is in the back of my head: “Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning.” I couldn’t agree more! (I understand how those of you who aren’t morning people may not be quite as enthusiastic about this idea…) … Continued
I had high hopes for this morning’s sunrise. A front had moved through, and even in the darkness before dawn I could make out quite a bit of clouds in the eastern sky. You need clouds to make color… Once I got to the shore, however, the situation was clear. The horizon was socked in, … Continued
These sweet keepsakes are a lovely way to commemorate baptism day! Personalized with baby’s name, baptism date, and the name and location of the church, they look great in the nursery. The design pictured below comes in pink, yellow, green and blue. As with all of our artwork, they’re hand created using premium museum quality … Continued
Another morning, another owl. This one has been named by those who have been watching her throughout the winter. They call her Celia. The snowy owls will be winging their way home (a very long way – to the arctic) soon, but for now we’re still able to enjoy watching them along New Hampshire’s coast. … Continued
